A Simplified Approach – Asthma
Physical Aspects:
Application: massage, diffuser, chakras, sustained inhalation
Single Oils: anise, cajeput, cypress, corn mint, hyssop, hyssop decumbens, inula, eucalyptus radiata, frankincense, lavender, lemon, oregano, peppermint, pine, ravensara, rosemary, sage, scotch mint, spanish sage, spearmint, thyme
- a few drops of frankincense in water and taken internally may reduce reactions due to environmental issues
- black cumin, greenland moss, and melissa may be helpful if due to allergies
Emotional Aspects:
Application: massage, diffuser, chakras, sustained inhalation
Single Oils: helichrysum, lavender, mandarin, petitgrain, roman chamomile, spikenard
Other Support:
- Pursed lip breathing with diaphragm technique
- Quercetin 1500-3000 taken daily
- Cordyceps 3000mg taken daily (for three months or longer)
- Magnesium 400-500mg taken daily
- Garlic 500-1000mg taken daily
- Flax Oil 1000mg taken twice daily
- Fish Oil 1200-2400mg taken daily (especially for exercise induced asthma)
- Lobelia (in capsule form) one capsule 1-2 times a day
- Pau d’arco if there is a history of smoking
- Reduce salt intake
- If fluid retention is present in body (especially the lower legs) use essential oils that have a diuretic effect. Examples: Sandalwood, birch, parsley, juniper, lovage, celery
