Herbal Thieves Blend:

The herbs traditionally associated with Four Thieves Vinegar are believed to offer various therapeutic benefits. There have been many variations of the Four Thieves blend, but here we see the recipe that is still on file.

The original recipe was as follows:

– a handful each of wormwood, meadowsweet, juniper berries, wild marjoram and sage

– 50 cloves

– 2 ounces of elecampane root

– 2 ounces of angelica

– 2 ounces of rosemary

– 2 ounces of horehound

– 3g camphor

This combination of herbal blended tincture and an essential oil blend produces a great fortifying tonic. It can be used for prevention, maintenance, or a potent stress reliever.

Depending on the purpose and method of application of the blend, it is sometimes possible to substitute an individual oil for a blend. Also know that the single oils cannot always be used as a replacement for a blend.
